DETAIL DESCRIPTION
ILUM is a project of passion inspired by our desire to share our stories through craftsmanship, expressed through both the visual and olfactory senses. Influenced by travels over a lifelong journey of discovery, our designs have their origins in our European heritage which bred in us a love of aesthetic and beauty in its many forms. ILUM comes from the Latin word Illuminare, to enlighten. We hope our designs enlighten your home and your life.
A re-creation of what our dad used to wear back in the day. You could smell it as he left for work early in the morning, but it would be gone when he came home, masked by cigar smoke. The pattern is inspired by a vague memory of classic hexagonal floor tiles whilst playing around our grandfather’s house in Belgium. We have tried to rework this memory using top notes of bergamot, mandarin, and lemon with neroli, petit grain, orange flower, jasmine, and hints of musk and amber to add a masculine touch.
